Ashley Rodbro is a Mexican-American director and writer for theater and film. She is passionate about the development of new work and musicals. She is incredibly process-oriented and believes that creating an open-minded, efficient, and generous rehearsal room where collaboration and ideas can come from anywhere yields the best results.
In addition to Ashley’s directing work, she was the Worldwide Supervising Associate Director for Moulin Rouge, opening up 5 companies on 3 continents. She was also the Resident Director for Hamilton in Puerto Rico (starring Lin-Manuel Miranda in the title role) and in San Francisco.
During the COVID-19 crisis, she started her own production company, Heredia Vision, creating film and digital content with women at the forefront of the creative process.
She loves coming of age stories and TV shows from the 90s, and she has seen every episode of ER. She plays flute, piccolo, and saxophone. She’s a middle child and has a very tenacious mini goldendoodle named Penny! She’s originally from Wadsworth, IL.
She graduated from Yale in 2009, where she was President of the Yale Dramat.
