Directing for stage and screen around the globe
Ashley’s current projects include new commercial musicals with Disney Theatrical, Lively McCabe, and Little Sparrow Productions.
In 2024, she also continued her comedy work with BriTanick: Dummy (starring Nick Kocher & Brian McElhaney) at the Soho Theatre in London and Edinburgh Fringe Festival as well as Billy & the Situation (starring Gabby Bryan & Jenny Gorelick) at Ars Nova.
Ashley was previously the Worldwide Supervising Associate Director for Moulin Rouge!: The Musical, working on the original production alongside Alex Timbers from its early development through Broadway, setting new companies in Australia, London, Germany, and a National Tour, and leading the international directing team.
She was also the Resident Director for Hamilton as a part of Tommy Kail’s directing team. She opened the “And Peggy” company in Puerto Rico, starring Lin-Manuel Miranda in the title role, and maintained the Resident Company in San Francisco in 2019/2020.
Her Associate work also expands to comedy specials as well, including working with Timbers on John Mulaney’s Kid Gorgeous special at Radio City (Netflix), Oh Hello on Broadway (Netflix), and Alex Edelman’s Just For Us (HBO).
During the COVID-19 crisis, Ashley started her own production company, Heredia Vision, creating film and digital content that put women at the forefront of the creative process. In this role, she was at the forefront of major collaborations, including directing virtual special “Broadway Does Mother’s Day” for Broadway.com and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and working with New York Theater Workshop on their “25 years of RENT” documentary and virtual event.
She is originally from the Chicagoland area and is a graduate of Yale.
