Ashley has developed and directed her own original work while also working for 6 years as an Associate and Resident Director on hit Broadway shows with blockbuster directors Alex Timbers and Tommy Kail.
When it comes to her own theatrical projects, Ashley has directed plays, musicals, and comedy at Ars Nova, Musical Theater Factory, CAP 21, 54 Below, the Edinburgh & New York Fringe Festivals, and Yale, working with writers including Cory Finley (Thoroughbreds film), Lauren Marcus (Tick, Tick... Boom!) Will Stephen (Saturday Night Live), Ethan Kuperberg (Transparent), Jenny Gorelick (And Just Like That) and Mark Sonnenblick and Sam Salmond (Jonathan Larson Award winners).

Associate / Resident Work
As an Associate and a Resident director, Ashley balances the work of building a collaborative community while working to execute on the vision established by the original director.
Ashley has worked with Alex Timbers as his associate for many projects for 6+ years, the majority of which were spent on Moulin Rouge: The Musical! She recently completed her tenure as the Worldwide Supervising Associate Director, where she worked with Timbers to open the original Broadway company. She was at the forefront of reopening theater after COVID-19, setting companies in Australia, the West End, the US National Tour, and Germany, She also supervised the international directing team across the globe.
She was also Timbers’ Associate Director and Script Supervisor for the hit show Oh, Hello on Broadway with John Mulaney, Nick Kroll, and director Alex Timbers Off-Broadway, on a National Tour, on Broadway at the Lyceum Theater, and as a special on Netflix (released in 2017).
Additionally, she worked for Tommy Kail as the Resident Director for Hamilton: An American Musical (And Peggy company) for Puerto Rico & San Francisco. In Puerto Rico, where the title role was played by Lin-Manuel Miranda, the production raised $14 million for hurricane relief, reopening tourism in San Juan. She then led the San Francisco company for all of 2019 through its year-one cast change in early 2020.
